My 2001 is making the same squeking sound during a left turn. The dealer said it was a bad strut rubber bushing. They ordered the part and Idropped it off again tonight. I'll let you know tomorrow if the noise is gone. Try tsb 900016 I think Will check that # and let you know.

I just got back from picking my 2001 with a squek in the steering back from the dealer and it is gone. The problem was a bad strut mount. Warranty covered it. hope this helps

The chirping problem seems to have become less of a problem. I greased the bushings on the right side and it has seemed to quiet down the chirping. Guess they are dried out.
