Default IDOL HELP, & MX-5

NEED SOME HELP, HAVE AN O1, AND GAVE IT NEW 'CHAMP' DOUBLE PLAT. PLUGS (GAP 45), NEW 'MEG.' 8.5 WIRES, AND A NEW 'SCREAMIN DEAMON' COIL. AT THE SAME TIME, DID THE MX-5 MOD. CAR RUNS LIKE A PRO STOCK W/O THE AIR. WITH THE AIR ON, MY IDOL IS EVERY LOW (5-6), ALMOST WANTS TO STALL. NEVER HAD THIS BEFORE THE TUNE-UP. SHOULD I RE-GAP THE PLUGS TO 50 OR 55? AND WOULD THIS EVEN MAKE A DIFFERENCE? AS FOR THE MX-5 MOD, I LOOKED FOR 5 MINUTES AND FOUND NO 'YELLOW& GREEN' WIRE. THE ONLY YELLOW I FOUND WAS WITH A BLACK (NOTHING GREEN LIKE IN THE PICS) SO I CUT AND TAPED IT THINKING MAYBE THEY RAN OUT OF YELLOW/GREEN WIRE...REALLY CAN'T SAY I NOTICED ANY REAL DIFFERENCE. AT FIRST AFTER THE TUNE-UP THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT WAS ON, BUT IN ABOUT A MILE OR SO WENT OUT. ANY THOUGHTS WOULD REALLY PUT MY MINE AT EASE. THANKS!

Chrysler doesn't "run out" of yellow/green wire. I haven't the faintest idea which wire you cut...but it's the wrong one. Why not tape it back together and see if your problem stops?

You certainly cut the wrong wire.

Pin49 K60 20YL/BK IDLE AIR CONTROL NO. 2 DRIVER

That is the idle control driver circuit from pin 49 of the PCM to the IAC solenoid.
See page 8W-30-7 of the service manual wiring diagrams.

Re-connect the circuit, and you should regain your idle control.

Taylormade, read his post, he owns a 2001. No need to be his thesaurus.

Please do everyone a favor and never work on another car again. Thanks.

(Probally a little harsh... but come on, you just don't go cutting random wires)
