Thinking to purchase an 'underdrive pulley', what can/can't this do for me? Thanks....

Not Much. Engine might rev up a tad faster, but it's not worth the money or hassel (unless you have money to waist).
If you want some better perforamnce, try swapping out cams, porting and polishing the heads, higher compression pistons, and maybe even forced induction.

about 2hp for every 1Lb you take off the crank
the pt pulley is a big difference in weight it will spin your accessories about 20% slower, you wont be as slow with the a/c on but it wont turn the alternator fast enough to power big stereo the best and most expensive pulley is about $200 stock pulley weighs 4lb 1.6oz unorthodox racing pulley 1lb 14.4oz
