Default Headers

I'd like to put a set of headers on my '02 PT. Any recommendations?
How easy/difficult to put on? Any increase in HP/Torque? Exhaust sound different? Anything I should be aware of if I do put on a set of headers? Thanks for your help!

I put a JBA header on what is now my wife's 01 PT. Noticed extra punch at low to moderate range.....I had my mechanic put it on. He said it was a bear to install.....I never put my PT on a Dyno so I don't know what the hp/torque gain was.....The exhaust had a deeper sound to it, even with the Dynomax Super Turbo exhaust I had on.....Be sure to put the heat shield back on! Sure, it looks cool without it, but you will, eventually, melt things like the alternator wires, fry the alternator and possibly the ECU.....All in all I was pleased with the header and I'd do it again.

and dont forget to get the ceramic coating it will put more heat in exhaust tubes and less in your engine bay!

I understand that most of the headers, like the Hedman I put on mine, do not have a way to put the heat shield back on. There is just nothing to attach them (there are two of them) to. I was told by Race & Street that the heat shield was not necessary since the header is ceramic coated, something my mechanic confirmed, and that the warranty would not be voided by putting it on. Does the JBA header have a way of putting the heat shields back on? If not, how do you get them back on? ptdoityourself does not answer the question.
