Sounds logical....have you actually found one, and if so, where? I've only seen them for the Getrag 5 speed.

http://exileracing.com/catalog/produ...ducts_id=4 54

see the note at the bottom stating also for the auto A604/41TE [:I]

I am a member of the Avenger/Sebring Owners Group. (www.asog.net) These guys started from there to create this company,I think. The 2.5 Mitsu engine in the Avenger/Sebring/3rd gen Eclipse has the A604 tranny. Isn't that what the 41TE eveolved from [:I] Hope somebody can shed more light on this. Maybe Level 10 in NJ has some info also? http://www.levelten.com/index.html

The A604 is also known as Ultradrive; 40TE; 41TE; 41AE, but many sites say "Versions of this transmission were used from 1989 to present. There were MANY variations over the years and MANY parts do NOT interchange from year to year or model to model. Do not confuse with the non-overdrive A404/A413/A470/A670 series of transmissions". Some info links for you below:

here's the reply I got from them.

I believe the transmission in the PT Cruiser is still the A604. The autostick feature is a TCU controlled function. There should be no differences in the differentials, which would make the unit s compatible with the PT Cruiser transmissions.

We have, however, yet to test this, so I will not give a definitive yes.

The Retrofit unit we use has a wide avriety oif applications and we can accomodate quite a few transmissions. All we would need is someone willing to send in their differential for measurements and test fitment. (as well as the fact that we are waiting on a new shipment of LSD units).

You can get a LSD for the PT. In fact, it sounds like you might
have some choices in exactly wha you can get. I'm currently
talking with the guys at Powerdemon in Houston. They're writing
something up for me to post right now, and as soon as I have it
I'll put it on the board. Our specific model isn't listed online
because it's a front wheel drive, and the bulk of their work is
rear wheel drive setups. Prices will vary depending upon exactly
what you want done, and how macho you want your LSD to be.

He said he'd need at least a weeks notice to get the required
cores and parts, since he doesn't normally keep what we would
need in stock. Actual install time would be about 2 days.
