I have encountered a large amount of ice on the door sill where the doors open near the fender. The snow builds up in the fender area and when you open the door it sounds like a grinder. Ice build up abount 1 inch thick and makes it hard to open door. Has anyone else encounter this problem.. Took car to dealer in Montreal today and they say there is no problem but Chrysler Engineering is aware of it. I insisted that they log it on my file in case something develops in future. Anyone else with this problem??? Thanks.<img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle>

We've had record snowfall in Maryland and I have noticed that when I open the doors the snow falls into the sill areas and behind the doors, but never enough to cause that kind of problem. And then it just disappears, I supposed from being warmed by the car when it's running.
If you haven't cruised Maryland, you haven't cruised. (unless you cruised somewhere else) |

...yea, their aware of it. Prior years of the PT had rubber sweep seals on the bottoms of the doors, they discontinued putting them on for cost reasons along with the other long list of items that was deleted...
