I'm just south of Atlanta. I saw unorthadox's racing underdrive pulleys, there are two different kinds you can get; ultra R, and ultra S. Doesn't NOS wear down gaskets and plumbing pretty quick? I just ordered up the injen short ram intake, we'll see what that does for performance.

No.
Nitrous is a gas, just like oxygen, anytime it's not compressed or below 127F.
The steam like vapor you see when purged to atmosphere is the liquid changing to a gas.
Nitrous has about 10% more oxygen in it, compared to the air all around us. That's all. Nitrous is NON-FLAMMABLE. It's an accelerant when mixed with fuel.
It's the extra oxygen in nitrous that allows more fuel to be injected into the motor to make more power. Nitrous without fuel will do nothing but lean out the air/fuel mixture. That's why a wet kit MUST be used with the PT Cruiser.

MX-5 You seem knowledgable on NOS, hoping you can answer a few questions.

1. Will this kit be everything I need for a 03 automatic PT cruiser
http://www.autotrucktoys.com/ptcruis...egory_ID=6 56

2. Do I need all the fancy gauges like you see in movies like fast and the furious? Or is it just flip the switch and GO?

I have a K&N intake and aftermarket duel side exhaust so I think thats good enough to handle the extra power. And how much does it cost to get a bottle refilled?

That is a generic kit.
You will have to fabricate the installation.

The best choice is the Nitrous Works 13097 kit.
See my installation guide here:
http://ptdoityourself.net/pitpass/guide_nos.html

It's designed specifically for the PT Cruiser. Everything is included for the basic kit. The bottle heater and accessories are also available. Plus, it's about $100 cheaper than the ZEX kit. You will save a lot of installation time and woe with the 13097 kit.

Bottle refills are between $30-40 per 10lb tank.
My shop gets $32.50 for 10lbs.

How long will 10 lbs last, or basically, how long can I hold the button down till the bottle goes dry?
