I'm planning to change my plugs this weekend and since I have to remove the intake manifold, I would like to know what to torque the bolts for the intake manifold.
Please, if you don't have an answer, please don't refer me to any other site. Thank You. |

You do NOT have to remove the intake with a GT manifold. That is only for the NA PTs.

Ooops. Yes, you are correct. Actually, I'm also thinking of changing the ignition coils, which is why I need to remove the intake manifold...hence, the torque question. Of course, I'm still waiting on a verdict whether to change the coils or leave them, since I'm hearing both sides saying the stock GT ignition coils should and some say it shouldn't be changed. It's up to me to decide. But in either case, I just want to be prepared to know what to torque the bolts for the intake manifold at.

Duh. Shet...Thanks. The answer was in front of me (sort of) all along.
![]() Since I had the '04 GT all I had to do was just the PCM swap and not worry about the injectors & gasket, so I never bothered to really read the rest. Thanks again.

You are wasting your money on changing your coil. The factory coil is more than adequate. Just get better spark plug wires. Then again, if it will make you feel better and you want to waste your money then get a "performance" coil.[:I]
