Default Hurst shifter install

Well... I installed the Hurst quick throw shifter last week. It's pretty and it says Hurst on the side. Other than that it's unimpressive especially for the price. Noted an improvement in the side to side throw but none in the back to front. Like I said. It looks pretty but that's about it. It's not a hard installation but you have to havce some mechanical knowledge. Good thing I'm a mechanic, huh?

I love my Hurst STS. For myself I noticed a big difference in shifting. Shifting is shorter, more crisp and more precise. I hated the 2nd to 3rd shift with the factory shifter. slartyblarfast, is yours a GT?

No...I have a NA Cruiser. I guess I'm trying to say that it's not a bad thing but definitely not worth what I paid for it.

The next step is to switch to Booger Bushings... it will solve the 'rubber band' effect.

So if I add the shifter to my GT, add the bushings at the same time...
