Default Shocks/Struts and Trans Fluid

Car has 45K miles. Have had GOLDLINE Springs for 8k miles, with OEM Shocks/Struts. Would like any help with Aftermarket suggestions. Also, is it time to change the Trans Fluid, your suggestions are welcome. Thanks!!!

Somebody will tell you to do a search as we've been talking about lowering springs and their impact on ride quality and handling. As it turns out the spring rate on the GoldLines is definitely higher than the factory units, and the factory shocks/struts just can't control them properly. One of the most popular selections for aftermarket shocks/struts is Tokico. You can find them pretty regularly on ebay for about $265 shipped. They take the bounciness out of the back end and help with the overall ride and handling.

I'll let someone else address the trans fluid change.

As far as the transaxle fluid change...Chrysler isn't known for the longevity of the automatic transmissions. Preventive maintenance is the best thing you can do. If you can afford it, go for a full flush of the system. Mine was $160 but take into account about 15 quarts of fluid, gasket, filter and labor involved. If that's out of the question right now, just have the pan dropped and replace the filter. That will only change about 5 quarts but better than nothing. My $.02

Specify ATF+5 - ATF+4 is called for, but ATF+5 supersedes ATF+4.
