Default SHOCK ABSORBER RECOMMENDATION

OK, the PT is a short wheelbase van and a great ride may out of the question. Has anyone replaced their original schocks with after market shocks and actually noticed an improvement?

Are you looking for a softer, comfortable ride or more perfomance for cornering?

People have been happy with Tociko and Koni shocks and if you've got big bucks then the Mopar Stage 2 or 3 coilover kits.

I know on my Daughters Neon it rode much better on GR2 shoocks and struts from KYB. These are pretty reasonably priced and are not adjustable but give a nice firm ride and absoorb both little and big bumps surprisingly well. Not high performance items but perform better than the worn stock units by about 50% on her Neon Sport. I suspect same results on a Cruiser.

In aqddition to the above recommendations, you can also consider:

Monroe Sensa-TracĀ®:
Front Strut: part # 71592
Rear: part # 5989

OR

Gabriel Ultra Gas Shocks:
Front Strut: part # G55892
Rear: part # 69473
