Default Boost control W/ vs W/O wastegate

Question for you turbo people with power upgrades. (Mine is a '04 GT, autostick, S1, BTG duals) The Holy Trinity seems to be: Ajustable wastegate, boost control and blow off valve. I understand the BOV is for keeping the turbo speed up. And a boost control will dial in more and keep the boost from droping down to about 10# at WOT like it's set up to do in stock form. How does an ajustable wastegate add any more improvements? How do they work without the other? How do they work better together?[:I]

The PT has a stock wastegate the that PCM uses to control boost levels. By properly re-plumbing the lines and installing an adjustable wastegate you can bypass the computer that keeps the boost level low and dial it in to whatever you wallet can afford.
