Mike, I understand how you got to the gap. I regapped this morning to .40. OH MY GOD! Who awoke the demon under my hood?! The block I stated I usually hit 60, I just hit 70!
Anyone want to hazzard a guess at what I'll be doing this weekend?
Hey Mike, did you regap? Just curious if you got a performance boost also. I did the mistake of taking off the traction control saturday when I pulled out of my parking lot. I got HEAVY wheelspin with the stock goodyears, and smoked up the street. Burning rubber stink all over the place! I won't do that again!
hahaha yeah right!! youll let the fogger go the next time you hear "that cruiser cant burn em!"

Never had the chance. In fact, since I posted that I would be changing them this is the first real free time I've had. I spent more freakin' hours at the office on the weekend and late into the night in the past 2 1/2 weeks due to gross incompetence on the part of our production department. I had to play logistics coordinator, production supervisor, sales rep (which is what I should be doing), machine operator and truck driver in order to get the job finished on time. The "job", by the way, was 12.1 million pieces of mail for the IRS. If you own a small business and file your taxes electronically, you will be getting one of these in the mail (form 8160-A,B, or C IRS eFile). Please take a moment and consider the pain I've gone through in order to put this in your hands. You're welcome.

I think you might be right on that. I might end up doing it if some ricer tries to show off.[] At least, most of the kids in the area like my car and always point and go "oooh, ahh" whenever I past by. I only have had to eat a few civics to get alittle respect. My little cousin's sweet sixteen is coming up, and her parents are only renting a limo to goto the hall, and not back. She has already stated that she will not go back home in her dad's minivan, but she wants "to back home in style in Mike's PT Cruiser." Put a smile on my face!

Opps, I'm threadjacking; by the way, has anyone else regapped to .40 and installed a set of Firewires or Magnecors?

Burning off the Goodyears?

Best use for them.

The sooner you smoke em off, the sooner you can buy some good tires.

LOL! Unfortuantely, my dealership made me a deal; as long as I rotate the tire every 6,000 miles, I get free tires for life. I hope the next set aren't the bad years!

Ok so it seems .040-.042 for stage1 right?!!! what plugs are you using also?

Skip the Nology wires & go with the Cranes or Maggies right? I've been away for awhile & am trying to get a feel for what is working best.

I like the idea of 25 ohms/ft. How's the ignition noise them?

[8)] I've used the NGK plugs @ 40 & Magnecor wires. No noise whatever & smooth throughout the whole RPM range. [8)]
