Default Turbo and Super

OK, here we are with a N/A car trying to figure out how to get .. more power! argh argh argh! After some research we discovered that noone "supposedly" offers a supercharger solution for the 2003. Here is the question: will the Whipple or Jackson Racing super chargers work on the 2003?
Question part B: Hahn Turbos, are they really that good? how hard are they on the motor ( under 10#)? What all is involved in installing a turbo? (aparently the superchargers are almost bolt on)

Help Please!

IMHO they are really that good.

Several have driven 10 - 20k miles & more with no problems. Unless you are a dedicated drag racer, the n/a motor will handle the load. The Hahn stage 2 gives you about 200hp at the wheels which is thought to be the limit for a n/a motor. I drove stage 1 for 20k miles with absolutely no problems & now have more than 5k on stage 2 with same result. Instal isn't easy but is possible to do yourself if you're a damn good mechanic with the right tools (turbo experience would be a big plus). I let the pro's do mine. If you live near the Hahn plant or near Bob Stockem, let them do it.

Are any of the aftermarket turbos or superchargers smog legal for a new PT? Prices are kinda high for the turbo factory motors by the time they pile on all the required options.

It's a shame you can't just order the base car with the turbo motor.

There are some fantastic deals on used GTs - shop around. I think that'd be the way to go.
Here's one example:

Why trade my car in on a GT when i wont have the one i want? (the one i have) and will have to still do the mods to the new car that ive already dont to this one? I had the option to purchase a GT when i got my Touring. I liked the touring better. Anyway.

THanks for the info on the Hahn.

how expensive is it to upgrade from stage 1 to 2? or should i just get stage two from the start?

i think its somewhere around $700+ a little labor but Taikuchin would know best as he had his installed at Hahn in Illinois.

I paid a little less than $1100 for the upgrade which included install & 2 dyno pulls...but not the intercooler. I had that installed locally before the trip to Hahn. Probably the best way would be to do the whole thing at the same time. Might save a bit on the labor charges. You might want to call Craig at Hahn to get latest prices.
