I switch to synthetic (Mobil One) motor oil? If so, what type/brand is recommended? Thanks.

The part for k&n oil filter for GT is hp2009 . This is not a have to use, but it's available @ advance auto and autozone. They may not have listing for GT but I know this works it's on my car ,now !

The Mobil 1 cross reference book at the EZ Lube shows the Mobil filter for the GT to be M0195. I forget the number of the filter for the non-turbo but it is significantly shorter but same diameter.

Mobil 10-30 is recommended. As for the oil filter, our dealership recommended that we use the mopar filter. It is longer than the regular pt oil filter. It also has some kind of "check valve". It is specially made for the GT. Serape

Mobil 1 fully syn 5w-30 or 10w-30 in the summer is what I have used for years on both my PT's. Oil filter - Any of the top brands are good and they all are now manufacturing the top of the line filters for 3 to 4 $ more then the standard. Remember, if you change your oil every 3 to 4 k miles, all top filters on the market will do the job.
