Default Fog Lamps Kit Problems--->Fix It

When installing the add on fog lamp kit that chrysler sells you may encounter the problem that the turnsignals or hazard lights don't work anymore once installing the new switch. The reason for this is that chrysler is being tight and won't include a $1.00 relay on the new switch. It wouldn't be so bad if they told you to remove it from the old switch and put it on the new one, but, they don't. I luckily, through experience, figured it out before returning the unit several times.

So, when installing the new switch make sure and swap out the turn signal relay from the old switch to the new one. It is located in the middle of the turn signal switch and is about 1" square. It just pulls out and plugs in, 10 seconds work of work but hours worth of frustration if you don't know about it.

I had that very same problem when I installed mine. After getting the 2nd Multifunction Switch, and it still wouldn't work, I decided to compare the backs of both the new and old (w/o fog lamp switch) and noticed the relay. I have NEVER seen the relay except in/on/near the fuse block.
