Default Throttle Body Bore

Just curious on what size I should bore my spare TB to. I have the 5-speed, so I think that means that it is currently 48mm in diameter. I heard of buying 55mm TB's from AFX or howell automotive. Should I bore larger than 55mm, or would that just be a waste? Does anybody know of a place to bore one out instead of Howell or Bob Stockum? I just installed my K&N FIPK today and it sounds awesome. I am looking for ways to add some added power, and I am going to a muffler shop tommorow to see what kind of a job they can do for me as far as a dynomax or some other custom system. My biggest worry is the drone of my 5-speed where 65 mph is already around 3000 RPM. Anyway to get back to subject, is boring the TB another good way to pick up some HP and some torque?

because they came different on 5 speed from the factory i would guess that some amount of low end torque could be lost. they made it smaller to speed up the air going through.
i'm sure almost any machine shop would be able to bore it out for you. look in the yellow pages to find a shop in your area and call them to compare prices.

oh and i dont think that going larger than 55mm would yield any benefits and there might not be enough material left once you get over 55mm
