Probally be best to build a Custom Tubular Frame and mount the body on it with most of the original Interior. Still wouldn't be easy, but almost anything can be done if you got the money. Also, when the Cruiser first came out, some company made a pick-up version with a Viper V10 in it...

Well, we've got half-a-hemi to start with and most of the Mustang GT's I've seen aren't doing as well with the both halves![8)]

The only modern transverse V8s I'm aware of are the Cadillac Northstar and Olds Aurora. Both would require more (special) work than a traditional RWD conversion. Even the Mother's V6 FWD conversion took a lot of work. A few quick measurements will show that any V8 is bigger than the V6, so a set of mounts and a transaxle adapter is almost certainly not viable. Then there is the issue of a transaxle that could hold the added power. While I'm sure we would all like more power, this is in the realm of not cost-effictive. The people that do this sort of thing are doing it to be the first or 'special'.

A couple towns away from me. There is a guy
at a body shop called Kustom Kars or something
like that. That put an old school 426 hemi in a PT!
I haven't seen it myself, but have heard its
insane.[8)]
