Does anyone know what the codes P104, P1684, P0401 mean. Car runs good. 2001 98,000 miles Thanks

P104 is not a good code.
They are all 4 numbers following the computer designation. P1684 after 2001 means a system readiness test. Not all readiness tests have been performed. This means at least one of the many drive cycles didn't finish. P0401 means you need a new EGR valve assembly. I've replaced 4 EGRs on PT Cruisers in the last month. It's a common fault. Parts & labor are right at $100. |
