UPDATING REAR DRUM BRAKES TO DISC

Default UPDATING REAR DRUM BRAKES TO DISC

My 01 has rear drums and I will be changing over to disc. Has ayone done this and could you give some info about the emergency brake linkage to the disc system if I could the emergency brake linkage that is on the car now.

Hi, I am going to do this this weekend probably. I have looked at it mildly. I think you have to have the Ebrake cable from the disc system. I will check it out when I do it to see if they are the same. I took disc off of an '03 and am putting them on an '05 convertible. I have all of the cables and speed sensors with the disc. Good catch Don. This indicates that the hydraulics (master cylinder and combo valve) are close enough. Not proof, just indication. Blue please keep this thread alive when you get the car back next week.
Seems the big thing aside from the hubs out is the E-Brake setup. Pictures and notes would be great!

I've checked out the kit that Wyckoff has and I can that same kit for $200.00 less at the dealership that I go to and I don't have to pay for shipping. Its a lot less hassle and cheaper to just get an axle with everything on it.
