I purchased an 05 5-spead non-turbo 2 weeks ago and it seems like it is missing while it idles (sometimes)[:I] and when I am at about 2-3000 RPM in 2nd. or 3rd. gear it also seems like it is missing. I can't hear it but I can feel it. Sort of like but a little less than how it feels when you are about to run out of gas. I don't notice anything at higher RPM's 3-4500 (going up a steep hill, or passing someone[8)]) and I called the dealer and they said it is pretty standard but I live 200 miles from them and don't have the time to get it there for a while. So could it simply be the bad wires and/or plugs that come stock on it? |

Most responses would be to take it back to the dealer and raise stink. Don't take their crap answer that "it's pretty standard" ...because it's not. Too bad your so far away.
The plugs and wires do fail and give the symptoms that you describe, but haven't heard of them failing as soon as yours although it could be a bad part right from the factory. If you don't have the time to take it back, about the only thing to do is change them yourself, if your so inclined. If you use the "search" on the top of this forum, there's plenty of info on which parts to buy and the procedure to change them yourself.

What he says!....Crewzin is right, some people have had bad plugs and ignition wires right from the factory. About your dealer, if he's not willing to work on the problem, remember you can take it to ANY Chrysler dealer for warranty work! Especially if he's 200 miles away...

My guess is that it is NOT plugs or plug wires cause it does not fail under high loads or high rpm's!! It needs to be diagnosed to determine if it leans out or is too rich during those times it hesitates or it could be electrical or maybe computer. Needs to go on the scope I am afraid. Good news is I dont think all N/A Cruisers have the hesitation, I know my GT sure dont.
