hey everybody! I may have a new name but i'm a long time cruiser, since 04-00 and still cruisin'... now i have a question..
has anybody installed one and whats experince do you have I am just about ready to change my plugs and wires on my '02 PT and also wanted to put in a Screaming Demon Ignition.Coil in with Live Wires & with double platinum plugs... I need opinon's Thanks [:I] Jay |

A total waste of money on the coil.....

It's a straight forward R&R. Buy some di-electric grease and apply a "thin coat" on all the connectors and boots. Also don't forget to use anti-seize on the spark plug threads. Set the spark plug gaps at 0.040 and that's about it.

I've got both the Screamin' Demon coil and Livewires with stock spark plugs regapped to .065. The car runs great but I can't tell you how much difference they made because I had Stage 1 installed at the same time.

The SRT4 folks have experianced coil failures with aftermarket coils. The general consensus is to keep the stock coil.
If you want to ignore that fact, then you should carry your stock coil and tools with you so you won't be stranded when it does finally fail. Deen
