Default Been gone awhile

Hey guys and gals, Been gone awhile here as I sold my PT to buy a house. Thought Id stop in to say Hi and post a few photos of my deal I landed for $5000. Built in 1925 and Im gutting it to rebuild it as vandals have done tore all the copper out anyways. Before and after pics of progress, demo inside started.....

Looks like it has good bones. 5k For a lot with a restore-able house, sounds like a smoke'n deal to me.

I had to replace 12 0f the 32 window panes, luckily the frames were still intact under the boarded up windows, Im going to replace with thermos later down the road. Got lots of plans for the house but money is tight, going to be slow but nice when done.

Ya, going to be that way for the foreseeable future. No help from Washington.
Just do as you can and maybe we will all endure this mess. Keep us posted with your progress.

**** what a mess. My cousin and her boyfriend came an knocked the crap out of all the drywall, They are going to remove all of it for me.... cant find better cousins than them!

Congratulations !!!!!!

but $5000 for a house? .....here in Long Island, you can't even get a shed for that kind of money!!!!

btw, I see you got lucky and the previous owner replaced all the plaster for drywall

Thats no joke. My taxes alone in Brentwood were 9k a year. It's much cheaper in MD. That doesn't mean I would't rather be in NY.

No they just patched the walls in sections with drywall, most is still plaster and lathes, but thats about all out now.
