Just purchased a cold air intake from someone that makes them in Florida. He prototyped it[?] from his own car, it's chrome and it fits into the fenderwell where the original was. You can also run a 21/2" piece of flexible heater duct hose from there, down to the opening beside the driving light. He claims with the flex hose setup that you can gain another 1 1/2 to 2 psi of boost due to all of the fresh cold air coming in.
Haven't gotten it yet, should be sometime next week. From the picture he sent it looks like a nice setup. Cheap too, $175.00. Phil |

I talked to the guy in Florida thats making the system. Ask for Jim when you call, tell him Phil sent you. Nice system for the money. If you decide to run the hose down beside the driving light, you'll have the freshest air system on the market, bar none. Call, 954-336-3405. Phil

Received my intake today and installed it. Made a big difference!
You can really hear the turbo now. Nice polished aluminum, fit wasn't bad, a little play was needed where the lower tube fits the fender hole. Overall for the price, I'm satisfied. Seems like the turbo spools up quicker with all the air its getting now, more than likely just my imagination. Does seem to have a little more pep though. Also was glad to get rid of that piece of crap factory setup on the breather hose for the valve cover. Bought one of those small chrome filters at Advance Auto, a 3' lenth of 3/8 fuel line, made a bracket mounted to the computer mount and its good to go. |
