It may be a coincidence but...my fix came at the same time the Stage 1 PCM's started to ship!

I too have this boggle.
I went to my local dealer this morning (8-9-03) and found that they do not know of this issue.
So I brought them up to speed on it.
They said they would call Chrysler, and get back to me.
I got the ball rolling on this... but the TSB from Grandgrandpa, is what I need.
Please post it when you get it Grandgrandpa.
Thanks in advance.

I checked with my dealer and the TSB number posted yesterday is not the fix for surging. The TSB given yesterday I believe is for the clean up of the waste gate. The TSB to fix the 5000-6000 RPM surge will include a PCM replacement. So ask the dealer if he is replacing the PCM.

I stand corrected...sorry. The PCM replacement makes the car drive the way it should.

It's hard to say...it's very smooth and the car does drive different but I had the high RPM problem since new(3100 miles now)so I am hoping this is normal. The PCM fix has finally given me a consistent test bed. While searching for the RPM mis-fire the one thing that produced a noticeable change was the re-gapping of the plugs to .040. I will try the 7440 DPP Champions because of that experience. I will try them at the recommended .050 gap then down to .040. I have priced the plugs at a couple of stores and most sell them for $4.29 each.
