DC has determined that a welded pin internal to the dual-mass flywheel (DMF) assembly can unseat and become lodged between the flywheel and the clutch disc. If this occurs, the clutch may not disengage when the clutch pedal is depressed. Local dealers will replace the flywheel and clutch assemblies with the updated design parts. Recall date: March 4, 2003.
Model affected: 2003 PT Cruiser Turbo (manual transmission models only) manufactured from October 14, 2002 through November 29, 2002. Potential number of units affected: 816.
