Default ...clutch recall...

...has all the 5 speeds with the clutch recall actually had malfunctions? Anyone know what the failure rate has been of the 800 or so that are supposedly affected?

..did your cars come back in new condition...were bolts and nuts and hardware removed and replaced properly without being scratched and scuffed up? How long did it take to complete the job and can you feel any difference in the shifting with the new one....

Show no evidence of missing parts or anything like that ! Shift effort appears to be somewhat lighter. Had my car from 8am -1 pm .

Got recall notice. Had brother-in-law who is sales manager at the dealership where I bought the car ask the transmission specialist what I should do. He more or less said the recall is good at any time so why not drive the car until you have a problem. That way say you don't have a problem till 60,000 km.you then get a new clutch at no charge.

Dropped ours off at 6PM due to work schedule and picked it up at 6PM the next night. All clean and shiny.

Because when it goes, it just goes. You will be stuck on the side of the road. There is no warning from what others have reported. If this is not big deal to you then roll the dice. It is inevitable though (at least for me) that it would happen at the worste possible time.
