Just make sure you put in the sensors from the 5spd otherwise it will throw codes. It makes [8)]
Did you have to calibrate the TPS when you switched it over to the new TB or is it a one position installation?
you would not have to caliberate it one way install. if your get on that comes wiht the sensors on it you don't have to switch them over. he had to because he had a bad one on the new t-body

I would just reset the PCM if you get one with good sensors. Although I still would suggest switching them just too make sure you've got good working sensors especially if the TB comes from a junk yard and it is an older part than the one currently on your car. Also if your PT does not have many miles like mine (10K) I perfer to have the newest electrical parts on it just for longevity sake.
12 second- Thanks for the posting of the square mm #'s. It really does show a substantial gain in air volume and flow!

let me look at my post of yeah it says "i'm making a custom intake manifold that will run a t-body off a mustang." sounds like i got it covered on all the bases the manifold will be ported and it will have a custon plenum.
Sorry, I didn't realize you said that. Cool!

Does the TB have from an automatic PT turbo, or will an automatic non-turbo work as well?
I checked the part numbers
The auto non turbo from an 05 is 4891440AB

And the auto + turbo is 4891440AA

Will either work for this mod?

And could this new 52mm be ported out a few more mm or will it not matter??

This thread is old and the info is bad IMO.

I took the throttle body with the intake that I pulled from an auto turbo PT in the yard. I think it was an '04. It had an aluminum manifold. When I got home, the throttle body was the same as my 5 speed. I believe they were both 52mm IIRC. It is my belief that ALL turbo cars and auto NA cars have the larger throttle body. I think only the NA stick cars have 46mm.

I put that one back on the car. The other one is still sitting on a shelf in the garage. I figured that my car ran well, why add a variable? IIRC, they were identical.
