Default High RPM Miss potential Fix

Well not sure if its a fix yet but how about you guys try lowering the gap on your plugs?

The SRT is gapped at a wopping .050 and I think that is way to much for a turbo car. My supra was gapped at .043 stock and I would get high RPM miss under higher boost settings. I lowered it to .035 and it became a happy camper. At a high gap, the spark sometimes gets blowed out like a candle.

For those who are having problems with the plugs missing at high RPM. Try lowering the GAP to .040 and see what difference you get out of it then post it here and let us know.

Good thought. Do you think we should go one range cooler on the plug when we do this?

I just lowered my plug gap to .044 this afternoon . Haven't had opportunity to test as it's raining but I'll post if the change made a difference.

I will Hector...it's so damn easy to change plugs on the GT compared to the na engine it's pathetic! I used anti-seize on the threads ,di-electric in plug socket ,torgued to 156in/lbs and regapped in 20 minutes.

Hello,

Just wondering what spark plugs you are using. Getting to be around my next service interval and I was thinking of changing out the old plugs with some Bosch Platinums + 4 or some Champion Platinums. I havn't been able to find out which ones to use, but since you guys are using plugs with different gaps I was just wondering what you would suggest.

Thanks

I'm still using the stock plugs (@ 5,000 miles).
