Stage 1 for 2006 GT - when?

when do we get the Mopar Stage 1 for 2006 turbos?
who do I call/ask at Chrysler? my dealer knows nothing . . .
any help appreciate.

As someone has posted under the Stage 1 header, they typically aren't released until well into the year - the '05 kit was released in August...

Tommy Thrift will have them available - he usually posts in the vendors area...

Don't expect it untill at least August. I have heard that the 06' uses a different style network in the the way the PCM communicates with the rest of the components in the car, so it may take at least that long. Get a srt-4 stage 2 wga and adjust it down a bit if you want more go at WOT.

Question is will they release a stage 1 for the 06. Doesen`t the 06 have the same or close to the same HP rating as a 03 with the stage 1 upgrade? What will you gain with the Stage 1 upgrade on a 06? I would like to think that if they were to offer a upgrade it would be like the nonexisent Stage 2.

The '06 stock may be close to an '03 with Stage 1 that makes 235 hp and 260 ft.-lbs. of torque, but the late '05 & '06 come with 245 ft.-lbs torque, 230 hp, the '05 Stage 1 increases to 275 ft.-lbs torque and approx 20hp increase to 250hp, plus you have better shifting than stock for the Autostick and better throttle response for all models and higher boost than stock, so there will still be a good improvement by going to stage 1 when it comes out.

I was talking to Tommy Thrift yesterday about a bunch of PT stuff and he told me that the newer GTs already have the larger fuel injectors from the Stage I kit. All we need is the PCM to get the performance offered by the kit. What I don' know is if you can buy just the PCM.

Pablo, that has been the case since 2004 models to current. Only the '03s needed upgraded injectors. If you order the kit for a 2004 or newer all you get is the PCM.

Stage 1 is a building block for more power. You'll need it to increase hp. Mopar will never offer an upgrade with Stage 2 numbers because the auto tranny can't handle the extra hp. People at or beyond Stage 2 numbers are already losing their auto tranny. There is a need to upgrade the auto tranny to a Power Demon auto tranny that's good to 400 hp. Funny thing is the Power Demon costs the same as a new OEM tranny and DCX could have upgraded their auto tranny but failed to do so.
