Default Shootin' flames!!!

So i just had my exhaust put on yesterday afternoon, and of course i needed to go for a rip. My friend was driving just to the back right of me and said that when i was shifting between low gears at high rpm at WOT that i was popping out a small flame every once in a while...WTF[:I]. I know some people pay money for this, but i'm just wondering WTF is going on?? Any ideas??

Dont worry about it. Happens all the time in turbo cars. When you are at WOT, then let off the throttle to shift, there is some extra fuel that does not combust in the cylinders, this ignites inside the exhaust system. Looks pretty neat.

I guess he never watch auto racing on TV. You can see that flame on all the turbo cars whether they are open wheel or roadsters. Looks neat as 'ell. Really looks great at night.
