I currently have a custom exhaust, made from 2.5" piping, with a magnaflow resonator. It sounded fine at first, and the loudness didn't bother me. Now, I drive even more than I used to, and the sound is driving me nuts. I used the idea of having two pipes come out the middle, but there was no way I can fit a muffler in there, without it hanging down, and hitting every speedbump I go over.
I am considering the Mopar/Borla Duals, and wanted to know, in relation to the stock setup, just how quiet it is? I've read all of the comments, and everyone seems to have good things to say about it. Also, are there any modifications required for the Mopar Duals to fit flush with the Pteazer retro rollpan? Thanks!! Here is my current setup: ![]() ![]() I really like it because it somewhat different, I just can't stand the noise! If anyone has done this, and put a muffler in, please let me know! |

Why not get a resonator and insert that? (from what little I know, a resonator basically surrounds the exhaust pipe with an outer pipe. The inner pipe is perforated, and the space between filled with sound deadening stuff. A muffler has exhaust piped into it, and exhaust exits out a separate pipe.)
Resonator isn't much fatter than the exhaust pipe...
