Default After Market Intake Question

I wanted to get some feedback from anyone out there who has replaced thier stock air box. I would like to know if you are getting any oil residue from the hose running off of the valve cover into the new intake. I'd like to hear from as many of you as possible. This is just something to settle my own curiosity. Thanks, Phil

I was getting some some very minor accumulation of oil in the stock air box. I didn't like it even a little bit. I installed the Jim Barnes Cold air setup. This has that port on the turbo tube just behind the filter assy. available, and it is blocked off so that you can elininate that. If you are concerned about ventalation there is an aftermarkat filter kit that will let that port vent into the atmosphere. Extreme motorsports.com has them, and I'm pretty sure that I have seen them at Pep Boys also. that will end the oil in the intake. BTW I have ordered a catch can from Exhaust depot to catch oil blowby instead of dumping it back into the back of the manifold runner. High boost (higher than stock) tends to increase oil blowby.

Gearhead, I had already fabricated a fresh air breather for the valve cover so it doesn't affect my car. Was just curious to know exactly how much oil residue people were getting without one. I have a pic of my set-up but have no way of posting it.
