It was eazier to type hole, realy it was a fitting that i drilled & taped and screwed a holley air bleed into ,i have used .025 to .062 bleeds.but the same size hole works too. OLD HEAD PS,read Dalite's post about stock air intake.

i haven't taken it to the track yet
, but the analysis by the technition at the dyno said i should
be in the low 13's.
We are waiting for my new axles and dry radials before we take it to the track because we can't get the car to hook up on the dyno with the tires i have on now. If we can get it to hold the dyno we would surely break the axle.By the way i haven't done this work myself, i have had a specialty turbo shop do the work

My best so far *1 trip to the track* has been a 14.9 @ 95mph with the full interior, spare tire, and the only thing done was i pulled out the silencers.
http://www.imagestation.com/picture/...b/fc0f09c0.jpg
all in all i was pretty impressed for doing *nothing* to the cruiser and running it with full interior and the heavy chrome rims at street pressure.
the runs were all made with traction off, and I cant find my other 14 second slips (i think they're still in the car), but those are 2 that i had in my wallet. excuse the R/T, i wasn't trying to cut a perfect light, mainly focus on my run, not the car next to me. that 2.5 sixty foot was HORRIBLE, but it really showed me that slipping the clutch from anything above 2300rpm was pointless... heh.

Well, it took a while, but I finally got to a 1/4 mile strip. It's only 165 miles from my house, so I don't think I'll going again too soon!

My best run was:
60 ft: 2.215 sec
1/8 ET: 9.523
1/8 MPH: 73.48
1/4 ET: 14.831
1/4 MPH: 94.09

Boost was at 13 lbs, temp was 88 degrees, AutoStick, trac-cont off, approx half-throttle at launch, only rear seats out. This was after a lengthy cool down, which I have found really suits the turbo. The second run was 14.95 @ 93.35 and each succeeding run got a little slower. It "settled" in at 15.2 @ 91.5 for most of the rest of the night. Next step is to add a BOV and a cooler thermostat. Maybe I can keep it in the 14s then!

Just a thought for further development, but has anyone thought of installing a pair of windshield washer nozzles inside the lower front fascia that point inward and down toward the intercooler?

Using an aftermarket windshield washer pump and a reservoir with Distilled Water, this may be a way to keep the intercooler working more efficiently. If the idea works, it could be tied to WOT or boost level or a check valve that triggers a switch when vacuum turns to boost or (your idea here)....

Distilled Water would be key, as sulphur content (and probably other mineral/chemical content) is death to aluminum cooling fins. Ask anyone who services HVAC units around a source of Sulphur water....

That's an interesting idea. It would have to be a really fine mist to capitalize on evaporation to aid in cooling and to prevent the water from dripping on the track, a big no-no I'm sure. Of course, if the humidity is high then the effect would be reduced significantly. Maybe you could devise a way to chill the water to further enhance the effect. Of course, then, the tank or holding reservoir would have to be mounted somewhere other than under the hood, complicating the delivery system.

I used a similar type setup many years ago to deliver bleach to the rear slicks of my Hemi Road Runner before it became common practice for the track to furnish water for burnouts. Back then, if you had a crew you could use bleach or water for burnouts, but with no crew, you were out of luck. Thus, I made this system for myself.

NX makes a nitrous system that cools the intercooler by cooling the intercooler OR spraying a fine mist of nos into the cooler. It's shown improvements of up to 50hp on some cars...

I used a HOme depot spring. YOu can also use a spring from a carburator. The stiffer the spring the better.

As for the water on the FMIC, you cant use that on the track, its dangerious for the other guys who run behind you. COmpressed air or CO2 will work with a perferated tube going around the FMIC.
