Again, coming from a different turbo vehicle environment, I have personally and first hand seen the benefits of water injection (aquamist, to be specific). It is not a cure-all, nor a way to keep an over boosted motor from frying the pistons, but it works very, very well in situations where the motor is at it`s boostable limit with a proper A/F ratio. It`s like a safety net for boost spikes, and cools the combustion chamber just enough to keep detonation at bay (which could be a bad thing if it`s just masking a lean situation).

Yeah water in the engine wouldnt really do justice i dont think
The only thing remotely close to that is when I offroaded my truck and seen someone screw their motor gettin water in.
