Default High RPM miss

Get a set of NGK5306 Plugs and gap them to .040 and you will have no miss...........I changed Wires, coil,PCM,and had software flashed and still had the miss..Changed plugs and gapped the plugs to .040 ,No miss at all !!! Getting rid of the junk Champion plugs and going from .050 to .040 on the gap and it will fix it....If it don't you better sell!!!!

I ordered mine from O"reilly's autoparts..Pep Boys,Advanced or any good autoparts store should be able to order them.I think it was like $15.00 dollars to order them. There like $1.86 a plug plus a fee for special order..The person from NGK said there in the process of getting them put in stores, but there's not a big enough demand yet.NGK is the only way to go,they make the best racing plugs on market!!!!He said the Champions are not made for the turbo..To me champion should only make plugs for briggs & stration lawn mowers!!!!!!There junk...

Lee01,

Can you give us the number off the side of the NGK plug? I called my local O'Reilly's and they said they couldn't find anything listed by that number. I did find a Denso Iridium plug with that number, but I don't know if that is the same thing.

Keep us informed. The colder range should help to eliminate detonation as a cause.

Gear Head, the NGK plugs are not in stores or even one the web site..If you have a O'Rielly's or any other good parts store like Pep Boys or Advanced, they can order them for you. They have to have there supply house order the from NGK...I talked to one of the top people at NGK.He said there's not a big enough off a demand for them to sell to all parts stores yet.I changed everything on my car before i changed the plugs, should of changed the lawn mower champions first!!!!!!!!I even got the new updated PCM ,wires, coil and software flashed.after all of that the plugs and re gap to .040 fixed it...

I regapped my stock Champion plugs to .040 yesterday and in two days of driving under varying conditions I haven't had even the slightest hint of a hesitation.

This is with my boost cranked up 2lbs.

I'll do some further testing and report back in a couple of days. On the highway in auto if I went WOT my car would ALWAYS stumble. Yesterday and today nothing so it looks reassuring...

As an aside I've noticed if I'm in autostick mode and go WOT in fourth I get higher boost than if I'm in auto mode and go WOT.
