Default Turbo is louder than normal

Hi, The other day I took a trip and didn't notice anything abbie normal about it on the freeway, but when I got back into city driving you can really hear the turbo spool up now. It drives the same as before and same power, just you can hear the whine of the turbo LOUDER then before. With the windows rolled up you can really hear it then. I've looked and pulled on the turbo's plumbing and all hoses are tight, nothing is blown off or out of place. Any ideas[:I]? It sounds really cool now but it's something a ricer would do and not into that. Thanks

It may be the turbo bearings are trying to tell you something; they may be wearing out.

But don't worry about it... the noise will go away completely when they seize.

Power the same or sluggish? If power is the same, a loose hose could probably be ruled out, unless it's on the intake side - check hose leading INTO the turbine from the air cleaner...

I had the whole Turbo replaced at 30 thousand miles under warranty, I now have 55 thousand on her now. Last time it went it make a ticking metal hitting metal sound. It has the same power, perhaps even a little more now then before. It just sounds like there is no air cleaner on it and sucking just fresh air into the turbo. All the hoses are tight and in place, K&N air filter in the box. Used Mobil 1 since 3000 miles and changed about every 4000 or close to it. Now since the turbo was already replaced at 30 thousand miles wouldn't it have the 36 thousand mile warranty left on it still since the turbo has only 25 thousand on it[:I]?
