The A'PEXi Is and electronic boost controller that you can adjust boost in different ways:
Basic boost control, it works just like a MBC RPM Based Boost control, you can adjust diferent boost settings for a specific RPM Gear based boost control You can set boost for each gear. scramble boost. This feature requires a momentary switch and what it does is that while you have the switch pressed, you can increase or decrease the boost up to a previously selected setting. It also gives you many ways to monitor the system. analog mode, It will show you two gauges on the screen. in graph mode, you can reccord up to 45 secconds for latter review. Phantom mode. regular numbers mode. You monitor Engine RPM Throttle position boost vehicle speed if the car is manual up to 4 parameters at a time in real rime! The controller eliminates the famous code issue because it won't let the boost increase unless you are at over 30% Throttle It also has the feature called Boost Solenoid "duty cycle". This controller works with opening and closing pulses just like a fuel injector. By controlling the time that the Solenoid is closed in Mili-secconds you can create or cancel overboost. also using this feature you can control high RPM turbo Drop. Also, you have two turbo settings and an Off feature for letting the waste gate control the turbo at 5 PSI. I have one of the settings just like the factory for normal driving. The seccond one is used for racing at 15 PSI at the track with a drop to 14 PSI at the top end. http://www.apexi-usa.com/electronics_savcr.asp I am sure that there are other controllers that can do the same thing but this is the one I got and learned to use.
