Default factory boost gauge

Howdy everyone,

I still don't understand why chrysler didn't put a factory boost gauge on the GT. Even the new 2004 Chevy SS cars even have a boost gauge for their superchargers. What a rip off.

Just venting,
Frank[?]

I think us GT owners are starting to see more and more the "rip offs" that chrysler has done to us...I still love my GT...don't get me wrong...but like always, another big company doesn't care about its customers...

DC isn't the only ones. My '93 Mazda RX-7 with twin turbos didn't have a boost gauge, but it did have a nipple on the intake manifold for a connection. Go figure!!

You can buy the SRT-4 (autometer) boost gauge for $156.00 and change from Chrysler parts.

That doesn't sound so bad, if you say it fast enough.

I was personally happy that I had my dentures firmly glued in when I got that price from the local dealership's part's counter..

It's as bad as the asking $545/each for the aluminum 5 spokes, plus $20 for center caps.

You can buy an autometer boost gage for around $60.00 figure you may need another $5.00 or less for a tee/zip ties . Then depending how you want to mount it you would have additional cost for cup or pod . It's relatively easy to install ! No matter how much you complain here DC isn't going to "give" you a boost gage, folding mirrors, lighted rear window switches, rear sway. We bought the car this way,mod the way you want or be content the way it is ! Enjoy the cruise ![^]

I ordered Autometer Lunar 2 1/16" Vac-Boost and A/F gages today with the A/F conversion kit($100) for a total $250 from my local Vette speed shop. Can't wait to get them installed and then on to the Stg.I - probably.

Anyone know or have a pic of where the SRT-4 feeds the boost gauge? Is it mechanical or electrical? Seems to me that the GT would use the same system.

think the boost gauge taps into a vacuum hose.
