Default Give Oldhead A Helping Hand

I have just recived my gauge pillar pod,I like to paint it the stock pillar gray,so i read all the old posts and can't find any paint info. One guy named GTROB has a picture showing his gauges and they are the right color.Anyone know where to get the paint.OLDHEAD

Oldhead, if you are good on paint, you can get the color from the part's dept. You will still have to prep the pod and spend the time painting it.

But, you can order last year's right side A Pillar cover and have a perfect match with last year's gauge pillar pod color.

The right A Pillar cover is RJ38MF-1AD $ 18.68

The Dark Slate Gray paint is 05069094AA Code XDV for a 5 oz can. Check to be sure this is the right color for your interior.

Don't know if this is any help or not, but there is always more than one way to skin a cat.

Old Head - I used DupliColor Medium Gray VS8 Vinyl Paint. Its an unbelievable match to the stock pillar. Should be able to get it at most major auto parts stores for less than 5 bucks for a can.

Old Head, go to the Interior Modification link and look up A-Pillar
Paint Code. You will find the part number for the correct light gray paint. You will have to order it from your dealership. This paint mathes perfectly. The price is $8.99 a can.
Clean your pod with warm soapy water to remove any mold release agent that may be on the pod. Dust it lightly with primer and color coat it with several ligt coats until its completely colored.
Phil
