Default Auto Stick Question

Folks - Anyone finding that on occasion, in the the auto stick mode, the trans doesn't automatically shift into 1st at a stop. This has happened a few time to me not only when trans is cold but also after running to normal temp. I have come to a full stop, sat there a few seconds and it stays in 2nd until I shift into 1st. Any thoughts [:I]

Mich, mine always drops down into first as soon as I come to a COMPLETE stop. If I do a rolling stop it stays in 2nd. Only quirk I notice is the downshift from 4th to 3rd doesn't occur until you are down to about 20 mph when you are gradually slowing down and it is very abrupt.

Sounds like you should let your friendly dealer take a looky look.

Mine is very slow to shift into 1st and requires a full stop. It does not shift abruptly or hard into any gear on the downshift when I stop. I have not tried downshifting when not stoped by lugging engine maybe then it would be abrupt. It does upshift perfectly at almost redline when I mash the throttle and let it upshift itself. I think the partial throttle upshifts that I manually make are kinda soft!!

the only time mine doesn't shift down to first is if I switch from "auto" to "manual" while drive, if I start out in "manual" it always downshifts to first when I come to a complete stop...
