Default PT-Tuning staight thru muffler

Just installed the muffler from PT Tuning.
If ANYONE out there is looking for a muffler for their PT Turbo.....
you MUST consider this unit. What a beauty! Fits perfectly, made
flawlessly, what a work of art. The sound? Perfect. This is a straight thru unit and it is perfect - not loud at all.
Now its the same setup - for all intents and purposes - as an SRT-4
which has NO rear muffler. Sound just like one.

Very satisfied.

(I wish they had sound file of a single unit on a Turbo to listen to)

That llooks pretty good. Straight through is what you want. If the size was 2.5" it would be ideal.

What does a straight thru - by itelf - add HP-wise?

Don't think it does, just less restriction...
you don't want baffles like in a muffler. If I believe it is a series of resonators, it's essentially for noise reduction without restrictor plates...

Is this strait thru possibly better than duel exhaust?

"Is this strait thru possibly better than duel exhaust?"

Without a doubt - if the single IS a straight through.
Duals for a PT look cool, but splitting the exhaust pulses does
zilch for scavenging and HP increases.

CraigO, their advertising says "loud" and what I'm looking for is mellow. I do NOT want that "fart-can" sound that's so popular (and irritating) with the fast-and-furious crowd. What is the sound level when you are cruising at highway speeds? I still want to be able to listen to the stereo without having to fight alot with exhaust drone.

I haven't heard it, but I think that the loud comment in the site is for the N/A engine. The turbo should be quieter because of the impeller cutting down the wave pulses.
