I think I am a bit different than many on this forum. I am a very casual driver. I don't race. I don't floor the gas when accelerating and I rarely drive over 80. I don't have a stage 1 kit or any engine mods and I would value getting more gas mileage over getting more performance.
When it comes to plugs and wires threads, it seems that most here are looking for that last extra ounce of performance. I'm not. I am simply need to replace my factory plugs and wires. I don't want to pay exotic prices for exotic plugs and wires. I am looking for a good bang for the buck that will work with my boring and stock '03 turbo engine. Where should I start?

I was noticing that some aftermarket wires have a 90 degree bend in them at one end (e.g. MSD) and others are straight. Why is that?

I found the Magnecor website most interesting. They have debunked much of the hype used by other manufacturers. This impressed me. The other manufacturers websites were lacking in technical explanation. Unfortunately, it seems the only Magnecor kit for the turbos uses the more expensive KV85 cables.
I found a site called Lightning Motorsports that offers the cables for $52 + $10 shipping. This is the best price I have found so far. Does anyone have experience with them?

Nobody else answered your question on the 90 degree bend on some of the wires. I don't have a turbo, but it doesn't matter as the coil and plugs are in the same place in both the Turbo and Non-turbo. I've also had both kinds of wires, one set with a 90 degree bend, the other set without. As long as the wires are made for the cruiser, the bend at the coil end doesn't matter. The wires don't show because of the upper manifold so how it looks doesn't come into play either.

Thanks for the answer. I have now noticed a few sets have just one or two of the wires with the bend. I pretty much decided to go with the Magnecor KV85s. I have no idea if they have a bend or not.
