Default K & N Air Injection System

Don't know if this has been posted but just got an answer from a question I asked about K&N and what they are doing on an intake for the GT Turbo's.

Got this from SteelBlueGT from this forum:

Yes - "K&N's will make at least 6 hp over my modified stock box and
should be available in 2 to 3 mo. Going into production as we speak and will have 1 million mile warranty and also 50 state certified".

Think I'll hold on PT Tuning's system until I see what K&N has to offer. I had a K&N Injection on my '01 Cruiser and it was great.

Imagine that!!! A little company in Riverside California actually gets 50 state certification BEFORE making sales.

(It's amazing: those buzz words - customer needs, performance, certification, profit margin, sales quota, projected market=====
some companies know how to prioitise each one of them.)

Let us know when this system becomes available--looks like sometime around October 1. Thanks.

FWIW, it is attention to detail that keeps the product integrity up to par.

Too many folks are willing to undergo the "mushroom therapy" concept of doing business (Fed S$#t, and kept in the dark), and will accept far less than they pay for, or what the market should be demanding.

Others will risk being a social cast away in the interest of preserving integrity for others to benefit from.

There is a right way and a wrong way to do anything. Sometimes there is a right way and many wrong ways. As long as we are willing to accept the wrong ways as the norm and reward the shortcuts with our paychecks, the probability of the trend turning around where the right way is chosen in the future becomes less and less.

There is too much dirt being swept under the carpet already, and the customer is beginning to trip over the lumps. Count me in as a broken record too. I want to preserve something that looks like a free-market society for your grandchildren.

Continually lowering the bar for standards is not a way of achieving that goal.

Like I said in the Stage 1 post...I agree with everything Kirby says, but why keep bring it up here? It has been talked about for 18 pages on the stage one thread...and almost every thread on here now has some mention of the warranty/emissions issue...we all have issues with that, but I just don't see a need to keep bringing it up until get the final results of our initial complaints...

Needs to be said, seems obvious to everyone else that smog legal is the way to go.
