Default Engine Light On

Today after about 260 miles of highway driving I stopped for a fill up. Then drove across the highway to get something to eat and check out some really neat classic autos at a car show. An hour or so later, I hopped back in my GT to head home, and I got a CEL, code P0339. I have a list of codes but that one is not listed. I did check & recheck to be sure the gas cap a on and tight. Anyone have a listing for P0339 and what it refers to?

Dave p0339 is crankshaft position sensor intermittent . It's set when the failure counter reaches 20 . There's 4 pages of diags in '03 powertrain manual . Possible causes range from various circuits being open or shorted to ground to pcm problem .

Thanks,

Looks like it's time to see the dealer.

Dave it could be something as simple as corrosion on PCM connectors causing poor contact . Good luck ! Jeff
