Default Only goes 120?

I just bought my wife an 03 Dream Cruiser. Tried to get her to get a new one but the only color she liked was the Tangerine on the 03. It is a turbo GT but it seams to run out of steam at 120. My son had an 04 SRT4 and it would do 155 off the show room floor. The PT is an auto but I expected it to run a little closeer to the SRT4. Do these have a speed limiter or is that all they will do. What is the main thing I need to change to get a little more out of it? Thanks for any help. This is my first post but this is an awsome forum.

128 is the highest I've heard and yes, it is a speed limiter. For a nice kick in the pants get the Mopar Stage 1.

Thanks for the reply. Just couldn"t understand how there could be so much difference with both of them having basically the same engine.

Ever been in Oklahoma?? Flat, wind blows all of the time, Dust flies, other than Tulsa and OKC most of the rest of the country is wide open. PS, my daughter and family live just NW of OKC.

the other thing that needs to be considered here is aerodynamics... take a look at the srt vs. the ptgt and your questions should be answered.

I haven't heard how these run with the stage 2. I know they advise changing air intake and exhaust, but how much better would they do with that and the stage 2?

If you are asking about Stage 2 and the PT there isn't one for the PT. Only Stage 1 is available.

Well according to the speedo my PT 5 speed hit 130 going across Alligator Alley between Naples and Ft Lauderdale Florida. It was in the morning about 7am, the air temp was 74 degress with wife and rear seats in the car. As soon as I hit 130 the pt fell flat on it's face from the computer. Felt like I hit the brakes and the took off again back and forth. Wife said, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING....... QUIT PLAYING WITH THE BRAKES!
So I just held it there at 125 and drove very nice and stable.
