Stock Exhaust?

I bought an '03 PT GT. I was wondering if my exhaust is stock. The reason I think it may not be is because there is no resonator and the bends in the pipe are not crimped. Is this stock?

Is there an annoying drone at highway speeds? That indicates Aftermarket.

There isn't a resonator on the stock exhaust of a '03 GT and all bends are mandrel bends. Crimped bends on a turbo exhaust will choke turbo spool up time. The stock exhaust is 2 1/4" OD. Not all aftermarket exhausts have a highway drone, either. If you are going to upgrade the exhaust go to at least a 2 1/2" catback exhaust with mandrel bends. If you opt to go with a muffler then the muffler has to be a flow through design. A chambered muffler will choke your turbo spool time and make your car slower. Remember, a turbo exhaust loves free flow.

Is the stock muffler flow through or chambered? Sorry if this is an ignorant question. How about a magnaflow?

I have the magnaflow 2.5 in SS catback exhaust. I love it, but i will admit it has a horrid drone at 32-3500 rpm. if you can deal with that then i say go for it. once i had the car on the lift it took about 5 minutes to install. and it's polished stainless all the from catback to the nice 4 inch tip.

On a turbo PT the muffler is a flow through design. Magnaflow does make flow through mufflers, but I don't know if it's true of all of their mufflers.
