i'll try to answer all questions
1. PRIMOX, low voltage? i don't know. they conect to the o2 sensor thats all i know so far 2. DCG333, no one can purchase these gauges for a better deal like summit racing, jegs or any other dealer. there will not be anyone selling these gauges for 25% off there isn't that kind of mark-up in them, 3. DTs PTGT, Mopar will be selling guage pods soon, i don't know anything about them yet color, double or triple? when i hear i will post info 4. PeTe, i have not installed my gauges yet so the color is a ?. will post when they are installed. 5. COP TZER, not a rip off autometer, they are autometer gauges plus more of the stuff you need to install them properly.for example my boost gauge comes with a gauge, wiring harness, mounting hardware, wire loom, a map sensor, all the vacuum tees and plugs needed, and full instructions. i believe autometer gauges only come with a guage in a box by itself. that explains the higher price (you pay for what you get) ![]() thanks tommy |

COP TZER,
Maybe they wanted the Mopar logo on the face instead? The second link, which is the price sheet shows that you can get the Mopar logo on Carbon Fiber, White of Silver faces, or the SRT logo with a Silver face.

For the same reason that you PT isn't called a Neon. Sure, it's built on a Neon platform, but that's not what it is, and Chrysler sells it instead of Dodge.

The O2 sensor used on the GT has a 2.5 volt offset that gives a reading of 2.5 Volts to 3.5 Volts at the gauge. The standard A/F gauge is looking for the same 1 volt variance; minus the 2.5 volt offset.
To make this gauge work in the GT, you would need to get a bung welded into the exhaust (downpipe) and use a industry standard .1 to 1.0 volt O2 sensor. An inexpensive one like the one used in the 91 Shadow has been recommended to me by at least one vendor when I was researching this earlier. When you go to a separate O2 sensor, you loose the stability of the pre-heated, widebabd sensor that the GT uses. I am hoping that Mopar will come up with a "Y" harness that allows the stock sensor to send data to the PCM on one leg of the "Y" and a signal (minus the 2.5 volt offset) to the gauge on the other leg of the "Y". Otherwise, we will have to sacrifice some of the stability of the new generation sensor and resort to old technology and "porcupine" the system with an extra sensor. It would heve been easier for Mopar to tap off the PCM input with a gauge designed to read the raw data from the O2 sensor(s) and give an accurate reading; an approach I hope they will eventually consider.... |
