If anyone is considering trying this, be careful. I took my muffler off to test the sound before getting a pipe made and found out the exhaust aims right at the back of the fuel tank. unfortunately the fuel tank is plastic and I melted a hole in it and had to repair it. just a little precaution.

Okay so we took our sawzaw and cut off the muffler leaving maybe two inches on the muffler piping .
Bought a downwards tip(slight angle) . dont bother just unbolting it where you can , the exhaust will hit the gas tank , thus ...well ... you fill in the blank ._______.
Anyways it sounds great , a little meaner than a stock srt4 but almost the same tone . If your not into agressive sound and the car being semi loud , i would NOT recommend this mod .
One thing ive noticed is my gas mileage is rather S$#%ty. Could be the motor adjusting to the freeflow now .

But ill post up pics and a video when i have the chance.

WOW all i can say is WOW i just removed the muffler today and put in a 90* bend, all i need to do now is just pipe it back to a tip at the end. but dam does it sound good!!!. and its really not loud at all. i highly recommend it!!!!. but please do put the 90* bend on, or else u will melt your gas tank!.

I ditched my muffler also last friday I gotta say that while I generally dont like the sound of a loud 4cyl, this isnt bad at all. It sounds nothing like a ricer, more like a car you'd find at an SCCA race such as a minicooper or old Escort MK2.

nevermind...I just saw the vids on an earlier post. stupid me. So now that I have read all of the posts, has anyone notices fuel mileage increases/decreases. My 03 GT only gets about 400-ish kms per tank!!!

At first there is a difference in gas mileage for me , id recommend , letting the car adjust by disconnectiong your battery for 5 mins .
The gas will still suck for bout 2-3 days .
I went through 1 1/2 tanks . The car eventually get better but it works itself out .

Do any of you want to sell your muffler or muffler with pipe assembly from your Turbo PT? I'd sure be interested in buying one of them.
Thand@kc.rr.com
Thank you all.

Tom, Maggie at raceandstreet.com told me that the muffler & pipe assy was the same for both NA & Turbos. She also said she had a number of them in her warehouse, you might give her a shout.
