N1 Catback Exhaust

Well I decided I wanted a larger exhaust but didn't want to spend a lot of money. Could not find out much about the N1 Exhaust systems listed on Ebay. Bid low $75 on the one listed make an offer and it was accepted. Installed kit at home. The muffler sits a bit lower than the BTG Gen-III Ultra-Performance Cat/Back System but I couldn't beat the price. May relocate can later. Sound clips.

Didn't want to attempt to try to install the 3"o2, dp, and cat so I took it to my favorite muffler shop and let him deal with it. Having a lift and proper tools makes the difference. Took him around 2 1/2 hrs to complete. Had typical problems most people see, top bolt on dp wouldn't loosen all the way(cut off), lower heat shield in the way(told him ok to trim).
Took some pics of the stock stuff that came off. I had heard that pipe was measured by od. Stock pipe has a 2"id, 2 1/4"od.

Bought the 3"o2, dp, and cat from ebay. Links to auctions:

Had the muffler shop cut the dp and weld in the cat.If I had known the o2 port on the dp was too far for the stock wiring to reach after cat was installed (SRT-4 dp a little shorter than the PT dp) I would have bought the cat with o2 port on it that was a few dollars more. Had all of this welded to the catback system. Also had the shop remove the clamps and weld all joints on the catback system.

Looks good, sounds good. Hope that is a flow through muffler. Turbos hate a restrictive exhaust system. Don't believe the "up to 10 hp increase". A bigger exhaust, if it is flow through, will allow your turbo to spool up faster and get to your power quicker, but will not increase hp. If you want an increase in hp you need to go aftermarket on the o2 housing (3") and the downpipe (3").

That's a very good thing.
